The department of Applied Information Technology at the University of Gothenburg (www.ait.gu.se) offers education and carries out research within the areas information systems, learning, communication and cognitive science, in close collaboration with the industry and public sector. The department is located in the “Tech-Mecca” of Western Sweden, Lindholmen, and is a part of The IT faculty at The University of Gothenburg.

The Department of Applied IT is in the midst of a significant expansion and the Division of Informatics is currently looking for 1-2 new postdoctoral researchers. The position(s) will be located at the Division of Informatics in close collaboration with the Swedish Center for Digital Innovation (www.scdi.se). Job assignments

As part of the faculty, you will work with addressing the core issues related to the digitalization of society. At your disposal, you will have a cadre of senior researchers with a plethora of exciting and highly relevant research projects, willing to share their expertise and access in order to propel your academic career to new heights. In addition to this, we offer monetary support for travel etc. Your work will consist of actively participating in, and instigating, new collaborative research projects within the focus of the division and centre. Our ambition is that the results of your work will be published in top-tier journals within the AIS Basket of Eight, and lead to a significant impact on practice and policy alike.

Eligibility

Qualifying to be employed as a postdoctor is the person who has obtained a doctorate, artistic doctorate or who has a foreign degree considered equivalent to a doctorate. Those who have obtained a doctoral degree no longer than 3 years counting from last date of application should primarily be considered for the position. Also those who have obtained a doctoral degree longer than 3 years should be considered, should there be special reasons.

Assessment

The applicant must have documented, scientific expertise as well as a track-record of scientific publishing within the field of Information Systems.
Desirable personal characteristics are an ability to cooperate well with colleagues and external stakeholders, as well as clear, documented aspirations to become a thought-leader within the field of Information Systems.

Employment

The position is a fixed-term employment for two years at 100 %/full-time, at the Department of Applied Information Technology.
Start date according to agreement.
